Nautitech was created in 1984 in partnership with the Dufour Yachts Group. It is based in Rochefort sur Mer, the very cradle of shipbuilding and naval architecture, where it moved its production in 2008. In 2014, the company was bought by Bavaria Yachts. In 2018, the brand, along with Bavaria who had run into financial difficulties, was purchased by Capital Management Partners, a private equity firm. Marc Lombard has been the designer of Nautitech catamarans since 2009. Nautitech were also the first to propose the concept of open living onboard, that combines the saloon and cockpit into one spacious, functional living area. Understanding how important sensations at the helm are to their customers, Nautitech catamarans places equal emphasis on sailing ability and comfort. Today, Nautitech has 200 employees, 80 catamarans built per year; 80% export worldwide, via more than 50 agents.
